One Week Left
Well, I have reach the last week of my internship here at ESPN! I can't believe that it's almost over! It's going to be weird to leave after being here for 10 weeks, but I knew this day would come faster than I thought it would. I have still been editing like crazy and I'm still learning more and more every day. I recently completed a Patriots vs. Colts Matchup montage and I was ecstatic when ESPN's First Take wanted to run it at the very beginning of their show on ESPN2!! Their producers were very impressed and my montage opened the 1st segment of the show on Wednesday (Nov. 11). Maybe someone reading this saw it and I hope you enjoyed it and that it got you excited for the big game this weekend (GO COLTS)!!!!
On that same Wednesday, I was able to hold a video conference (via Skype) with the SportsCasting class back as ASU. This is a class taught by my ASU-TV supervisor Mr. Collin Pillow, who wanted me to share experiences, stories, and advice to the my fellow students back at school. They all had some great questions for me and it was just great to see some familiar faces for the first time in 8 weeks. I hope to be able to share more experience and stories with all my friends and fellow classmates.
I again just want to thanks everyone for the support and encouraging comments to this blog. I hope maybe continue this blog with stories from this internship and possibly what's going on with my experience back at school; and who knows where my career takes me. Although "Live from ESPN" will be ending, my career doesn't! The Sports Broadcasting world is always changing and I hope to be able to share all my experiences with you all!!
You can be guaranteed that I'll be writing one more blog from ESPN that'll let everyone know how my final evaluation goes and just to wrap up my time here!!
