Greetings from ESPN!! It's Been a While...
Greetings all!!!
Just wanted to let you all know that I'm doing well here in Connecticut and I'm really enjoying being back at ESPN!! It looks like I'm staying here on a full-time basis as I have passed my final video editor's assessment!! I'm no longer in training...I'm just one of the editors now!!
If you've watched a lot of SportsCenter and/or Baseball Tonight, you've probably seen some of my work! I've done a lot of MLB highlights, but I have had the opportunity to edit some NBA Playoff games and a game from the Stanley Cup Playoffs. One thing that I had the opportunity to work on that wasn't a highlight was the SportsCenter Encore, highlighting the Opening Day of the MLB season!! That was a lot of hard work, but a joy to work on something like that!
I hope everyone is doing well back home! I'm hearing nothing but good things from the sports world in the Bootheel. From the success of the Kennett Boys' baseball team to the KHS golf team going to State, it seems like the sports world back home is still booming! I want to wish all the team's the best of luck to all the teams back home as they enter their respectful post-seasons (a little extra good-luck goes out to my sister and the Senath-Hornersville softball team for the rest of the season).
I want to really congratulate the KHS girls' basketball team, head coach Spencer Hoffman and assistant coach Aaron New on an outstanding season and making it to the Final Four. I actually watched the games from my edit room at ESPN and I was nothing but proud of those girls and all the accomplished! Their season will go down as one of the most successful seasons in Kennett sports history and, as an alum, I'm nothing but proud!
On a serious note, I send nothing but prayers to all that are being affected by the recent flodding in the area. I've seen the photos and kept in touch with family and friends and my prayer is that the conditions will improve real soon. I've had co-workers and fellow editors ask if my hometowns are doing ok and I tell them to just keep thinking and praying for the area! You all ARE being thought of during this tough time.
I look forward to coming home real soon...I'll actually be around the area in a few weeks, but not very long. As many of you know, I'll will be getting married this coming June. My fiancee, Lauren, and I hope to see as many family and friends during this wonderful time and I'd like to thank you all for the kind words of support during this time in my life! THANK YOU!!!!
As I'll always say...I miss you all and remember...keep watching ESPN becuase you never know when you're watching some of my work!!
Oh, and GO CARDINALS AND GRIZZLIES!!!
