Gideon is now 6-1 in the Tri-County and hosts Clarkton Friday at 4:30 p.m. with the conference title and top seed in next week's Tri-County Tournament on the line.
Clarkton (11-7, 7-0 Tri-County) defeated Hayti Tuesday 25-23, 25-15. In other volleyball games, Senath-Hornersville outlasted South Pemiscot 23-25, 25-21, 28-26 and Malden edged Delta C-7 25-18, 16-25, 25-22.
At Gideon, Woolverton led the way with 12 kills while Wilson added eight. Maci Boone had 11 points at the service line and Richardson served nine straight points at one time. She also had 22 assists.
The Lady Bulldogs won the jayvee game 25-15, 25-20.
Clarkton def. Hayti
At Clarkton, the Lady Reindeer won for the fifth time in six games as they celebrated Senior Night.
Sara Darnell had 12 kills to lead Clarkton, while Whitney Coleman added six kills and three aces and Heather Brown finished with four kills and three aces. Tasha Joiner paced the Lady 'Deer with nine assists while Larissa Gambling added five.
Hayti won the jayvee contest 25-12, 25-10.
Senath-H'ville def. South Pemiscot
At Steele, the Lady Lions won their second straight game and improved to 2-3 in the Bootheel Conference and 5-11-2 overall behind a solid night serving from Katelyn Fritz.
Senath-Hornersville's junior varsity won 25-10, 25-17.
Malden def. Delta C-7
At Deering, the Lady Chargers (5-9) lost in three sets for the second night in a row despite good games from Lindsey and Leigha Blankenship.
Delta's jayvee won 25-13, 25-19.
