"It's good to win -- especially a comeback win," Senath-Hornersville coach Randy Smith said. "The kids showed a lot of character hanging in there. ... Both pitchers really pitched well."
The Lions will face Bernie, who upset top-seeded Cooter 10-0 on Tuesday.
Senath-Hornersville trailed 3-1 going to the bottom of the sixth inning when Matt Fouts drew a leadoff walk, then Horvath connected for a game-tying homer. Exon Moncada, Wes Westmorelan, Jorge Garza and Grant Winkle followed up with four straight hits to put the Lions ahead to stay.
Horvath went the distance on the hill, striking out 10 and allowing five hits in seven innings.
Westmorelan and Moncada had a pair of hits each.
Thompson took the loss for the Bulldogs despite striking out 14.
Monday, the Lions defeated Risco 13-3 in quarterfinal play at Senath.
Horvath and Zach King each had three hits and both homered in the win, while Fouts, Garza and Lincoln Tansil each had two hits.
Fouts earned the win, striking out three and scattering four hits in five innings of work.
Bernie 10, Cooter 0
At Cooter, the visiting Mules got a one-hitter from Quinton Stevens and capitalized on several Cooter errors to pull off the upset.
Zach Watkins had the Wildcats' only hit.
Jonathan Boone took the loss for Cooter (16-6).
