Kennett varsity tennis starts off strong over Notre Dame

KENNETT, Mo. -- Players and spectators at the Kennett High School tennis courts endured temperatures approaching 95 degrees ahead of Monday's game time. Add the day's brutal humidity, and it felt more like 107 degrees. Despite relentless playing conditions, Kennett's varsity squad managed to beat Notre Dame 7-2, while the junior varsity girls' struggles in singles play left them with a 5-4 loss.
