CaliLiving by CBHine -- Dogs...
I just read this in the newspaper. Needless to say, we have all gone dog crazy, including me.
Recently, while my husband and I were out walking one of the nature trails with our black lab Jackson, I was happy to see the county of Los Angeles has not only installed doggie poop bags for owners to use for clean up, but also doggy water fountains.
All of the above is located about every 200 feet for our pets. We have doggie spa's and day care, you name it we have it, and sometimes I wonder if our pets get better care than the homeless…..no doubt they do.
Here's the article. I thought this was a bit over the top, but who's to say? Right? Or Wrong? Let's blog:
LOS ANGELES (AP) ― A dog was rescued by helicopter, and Los Angeles city fire officials want you to know it has an owner.
Fire spokesman Brian Humphrey says his agency is being inundated with calls to adopt the animal shown being rescued from a rugged canyon on live television Wednesday morning.
The owner called for help after the animal was injured in an unspecified way.
Humphrey says a fire department helicopter used a harness to hoist the dog and the rescuer from an area 200 feet below the owner's home.
The owner has taken custody of his animal to get care for non-life threatening injuries.
