Private pesticide applicator training is available in two formats moving forward into 2022. Applicators can participate in virtual online (Zoom) training and in-person (Face-to-Face) training. The MU Pesticide Applicator website has the list of available trainings by clicking the “See All Remote and In-Person Events”- https://extension.missouri.edu/programs/pesticide-applicator-training/pat-remote. If you look at the available trainings on the website, be sure that you know what training format you are registering, Zoom or Face-to-Face. Continue to visit the website as more trainings will be added. For my classes, registration is not necessary.

I have been authorized to provide in-person training. I will have sessions at SEMO-Kennett on Friday, January 28, February 4, February 11, February 18, and February 25. All sessions begin at 9:00 am. The location is 1230 1st St, Kennett, MO 63857. Participants must follow their COVID protocol and wear a mask in the classroom. The training will include the principles of pest control, pesticides in the environment, the pesticide label, protect yourself from pesticides, harmful effects, emergency responses and spills, pesticide storage and disposal, and pesticide laws and regulations,

In addition to my training classes, Ivan Cavaca, extension agronomist, will be providing classes at the Delta Center and other locations.

I am willing to provide in-person training on-site of chemical dealers. In checking, I learned that different dealers have their own restrictions regarding COVID. If a dealer wants me to come to their location, I will be happy to work with them.
