During the Fall Into Arts Festival events that took place on the square in downtown Kennett last weekend, the Kennett Jaycees hosted their annual chili cook off. Mitchell Pharmacy, otherwise known as Mitchell's funny Pharm, received first place in the Showmanship Award. They also took home second place in the People's Choice category in the chili tasting.
"We enjoyed the weekend. We dressed up and had a lot of fun," said Jodi Green, Mitchell Pharmacy employee. The team dressed as characters from the Cat and the Hat. They handed out jellybeans in medicine dispensers to the crowd.
"We want thank everyone who voted for our chili, and look forward to this event next year," said Green.
The Fall Into Arts Festival is sponsored annually by the Kennett Alliance For The Arts (KAFTA).
