Investigators in Paragould, Ark., say that Kristopher Dean Parker, 33, of Kennett faces kidnapping and capital murder charges.
Parker allegedly murdered his ex-wife, Tiffany Parker, 30, of Paragould on Wednesday from what police have described to the media as an apparent homicidal beating. Parker then kidnapped their two-year-old son Carson.
Parker turned himself in to authorities in western Greene County during the early morning hours on Thursday, was taken into custody and is now being held at the Greene County Detention Center.
The victim's once-missing child Carson was reported to be in good condition and is said to now be staying with family members. The child is one of three children belonging to the victim. She had two other children from a previous marriage.
Former co-workers, who worked with Tiffany for years at Family Counseling Center in Kennett said that they are both extremely shocked and deeply saddened by the news of her death.
Tiffany was a former resident of Kennett and had moved to the Paragould area not long ago. She was most currently employed as a clinical therapist in Jonesboro, Ark., at Mid-South Health Systems.
Officials at the Paragould Police Department say that no bond has been set for Parker and that he is set to appear in court on Monday, June 11 in Greene County.
