LILBOURN, Mo. - An investigation by area law enforcement has resulted in the federal indictment of a Lilbourn man on drug charges.
According to a news release from the office of New Madrid County Sheriff Ronnie Adams, over the past several months officers conducted an investigation into suspected drug trafficking activities at a residence in Lilbourn.
Officers with SEMO Drug Task Force were able to establish probable cause to obtain a search warrant. On Nov. 1, officers with SEMO Drug Task Force, New Madrid County Sheriff’s Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol, New Madrid Police Department, and Portageville Police Department executed two search warrants.
Officers located more than 1.5 pounds of suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl, heroine, and ecstasy during the execution of the warrants, Adams reported. Arrested during the warrant execution was Charles A. Perkins.
On Dec. 3, Perkins was indicted by a federal grand jury for possession with the intent to distribute over 500 grams of methamphetamine. Perkins is now in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Office.
