Fatal head-on collision claims life of Dexter man in tragic County Road 413 crash
A Dexter man, 27, died in a head-on crash on County Road 413, Missouri. His Nissan crossed the center line, hitting a Dodge driven by a Bloomfield woman, who was seriously injured and airlifted for treatment.
A 27-year-old Dexter man was killed Thursday as the result of a vehicle wreck on County Road 413 one-and-a-half miles north of Dexter.
Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) Cpl. GT Ulm, Cpl. DA Vandven, Tpr. AJ Leroux, Cpl. KL Huggins and Sgt. DA Yingling, all were on scene and reported the crash occurred when the 27-year-old driver of a 2012 Nissan Titan crossed the center line of the roadway and struck a 2018 Dodge Citadel head-on, operated by a 57-year-old woman of Bloomfield.
The man was taken to Southeast Health of Stoddard County at Dexter, while the woman was airlifted with serious injuries to Saint Francis Medical Center at Cape Girardeau, police said.
The man was pronounced at Mercy South at Saint Louis, police said. He was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash, according to the report.
The man's death was the second fatality in 2025 in Troop E, police said.
