Only a few names of remain on the Angels of Christmas adoption list. These are persons who are in need of assistance this Christmas.
Information about these "Angels of Christmas,"--children and adults--is featured in the newspaper, which will allow community members to buy a special Christmas gift to help those in need.
Those who agree to adopt an "Angel" will receive the name, address, telephone number, and other information about the individual they're helping so they may make arrangements with that person, or person's family, to discover the needs and to deliver the Christmas gifts.
The names of the "Angels of Christmas" are provided to the Daily Dunklin Democrat by area schools, churches and nursing homes. The only way an individual can get on the "Share Your Christmas With An Angel" list is if they are referred to the Daily Dunklin Democrat by one of these organizations. Each individual placed on the list is screened and verified as having a legitimate need.
Persons to contact at the Daily Dunklin Democrat if you want to SPONSOR an Angel of Christmas on the "Share Your Christmas With An Angel" list include Vicky Pitman, Debbie Wright, Judy Holt and Bud Hunt. The telephone number is 888-4505.
When the needs of an individual listed in the newspaper have been met, it will be indicated by being marked "adopted."

Student at South Elementary with five siblings. Needs: Clothing, shoes, toys, food, household items.

Student at South Elementary with two siblings. Needs: Clothing, shoes, toys, games, food, toiletries and household products.

Student at Senath-Hornersville Elementary School with four siblings. Needs: Clothing, shoes, toys, household furnishings, blankets.
