Billie Keating

Billie James "Bill" Keating, 77, of Hornersville, Mo., died Friday, Aug. 31, 2007, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark.

Born Jan. 2, 1930, in Hornersville, son of the late Walter C. and Winnie L. Long Keating, he was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict, a member of the Coldwater United Methodist Church and a farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Dot Keating, of Hornersville; two sons, Stephan Keating and wife, Cynthia, of Steele, Mo., and James Wesley "Rusty" Keating and wife, Andrea, of Hornersville; one daughter, Mary Frances "Binky" Keating Capper and husband, Bruce, of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren, Stephan Keating II, of Osceola, Ark., Charles Quinton Brenke, of Pine Bluff, Ark., Jarrad and Drake Keating, both of Hornersville and Brittney Keating, of Malden, Mo. and one great-grandchild, Tyler Brenke, of Pine Bluff.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Linwood, Ray, Edmond, Curt and Clifford Keating; one sister, Lucile Wilkins; two nephews, W.R. "Dub" and Donald Ray Keating and one niece, Patty Sue Hyde.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Monday, Sept. 3, at the Coldwater United Methodist Church in Hornersville with the Revs. Doug Clinton and Kevin Knox officiating.

Burial as in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.

Pallbearers were Andy Keating, Danny Poole, Edmond Keating, Jr., Larry Keating, Terry Keating and Winfred Wilkins.

Faith Funeral Service in Manila, Ark. was in charge of arrangements.
