Earnestine Aikens, 84, of Malden, Mo., died Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Golden Living Center in Malden.

Born Feb. 13, 1922, in Marigold, Miss., daughter of the late Hezikiah and Annie Barnes, she was a homemaker and a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church in Malden.

She married Collins Aikens in Crown Point, Ind., who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.

Survivors include one sister, Leadora White, of Gary, Ind.; sisters-in-law, Annie Mae Barnes, of Gary, Goldie Benford and Mary Aikens, both of Malden, Carrie Bostic, of St. Louis, Mo., and Helen Gladney, of Milwaukee, Wis., and a brother-in-law, Adeill Aikens, of Milwaukee.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Oct. 14, at the Macedonia Baptist Church in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at noon, Saturday, Oct. 14, at the Macedonia Baptist Church with the Rev. Cleveland Brown officiating.

Burial will follow in the Macedonia Cemetery at Malden.

Landess Funeral Home of Malden is in charge of arrangements.
