Edith Charlene Yeargain, age 72, of Marble Hill, Mo., died Monday, May 28, 2007, at her residence with family surrounding her after a lengthy battle with cancer.
She was born Aug. 1, 1934, at Arbyrd, Mo., daughter of Roy and Anna Mae Noble Wilmoth, the oldest of seven children. She and Bill E. Yeargain were united in marriage on Nov. 5, 1953.
Mrs. Yeargain was a homemaker and a member of the Glen Allen First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Bill; her mother, Anna Mae Wilmoth, of Leachville, Ark.; two sons, Bill (Sameia) Yeargain, Jr., of Arnold, Mo., and Robert (Donna) Yeargain, of Bufordville, Mo.; three daughters, Delilah (David) Bruckerhoff, of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Cindy (Larry) Smith, of Marble Hill and Sandy (Jim) Minton, of Chaffee, Mo.; two brothers, Kenneth Wilmoth, of Arbyrd and Victor Wilmoth, of Leachville; four sisters, Janice Hammock, of Summerville, S.C., Patsy Davis, of Brookland, Ark., Teresa Wrather, of Cardwell, Mo., and Amanda Blair, of Urbana, Ill.; eight grandchildren, Stacy Huff, of Kansas City, Kan., Brandon Gemeinhardt, of Fruitland, Mo., Brent Hicks and Sarah Boyer, both of Marble Hill, Rebecca Minton, of Chaffee, Galen Yeargain, of Cape Girardeau and Shayla and Kyle Yeargain, both of Arnold and five great-grandchildren, Taylor and Harper Huff, of Kansas City and Jesse and Joshua Gemeinhardt and Alexius Welker, all of Fruitland. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy and one son, Gearney Lynn.
A private service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of lowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
