Karen Nichols

Karen (Jones) Nichols, daughter of the late Langdon E. Jones and Eleanor Jean (Alexander) Jones, was born March 3, 1952  in Kennett, Missouri, and departed this life August 5, 2024, at the age of 72 years, 5 months and 2 days, at her home in Kennett.

Karen married John Wabon Nichols on December 27, 1994 in Kennett. John preceded her in death on January 31, 2019. 

Karen was a member of First Baptist Church in Kennett.

Her survivors include a son, Alex (Tracie) Napier of Hernando, Miss.; stepson, Jason Nichols of Kennett; granddaughter, Nealy Jones Napier; other relatives and many friends.

Karen was preceded in death by two sisters, Pamela Mercier and Laurel Jamieson.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Saturday, August 10, 2024 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral Services will will immediately follow in the McDaniel Chapel with Reverend Ron Wilcoxson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett

Honored  to serve as pallbearers are Andy Byrd, Chad Abbott, Doug Wilcoxson, William Rickman, Langdon Jones, Jordon Napier, Bradford Wood and Justin Wills. 

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
