Linda Kay Snipes, daughter of the late William and Arlie (Reagan) Lantz was born May 10, 1948 in Black Rock, Arkansas, and departed this life July 19, 2024 at Heritage Nursing Center in Kennett, Mo., at the age of 76 years 2 months and 9 days. Kay married Allen Snipes November 25, 1968. He preceded her in death March 13, 2007.

She is survived by her three sons, Jerry Snipes of Kennett, Michael (Tina) Snipes of Kennett, Tracy (Layla) Snipes of Bell City; daughter, Renee Eagan of Jonesboro, Ark.; nine grandchildren, Nick Snipes, Alex Snipes, Brittani Escue, Melani Rooney, Maegan Parker, Matthew Snipes, Kelli Richmond, Breyanna Sutton and Scott Sutton; nine great-grandchildren, Millie Parker, Evan Parker, Sophia Richmond, Dallas Willoughby, Killian Snipes, Hazelton Escue, Oakes Escue, Reece Rooney and Cole Escue; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by two brothers Frank Henry Atchley and Joe Atchley; four sisters, Fannie Cates, Ethel Birmingham, Dixie Phillips and Mary Reeves; and a granddaughter, Christie Nash.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett with Reverend Johnny Bogle officiating. Burial followed in Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were Kevin Nash, Tommy Cook, Stephen Rooney, Erick Escue, Chris Seats and Matt Snipes. Honorary pallbearers were Marty Cato and Anthony Miller.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett was in charge of arrangements.
