The 2024 MU Cotton Meeting will be held February 6, 2024, at the
MU Fisher Delta Research Center in Portageville, MO. Registration: 8:00 a.m. Program: 8:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. CEU’s will be applied for.
At 8:00 a.m. there will be registration, refreshments, and welcome; at 8:30 am, Cotton Weed Control with Anthony Ohmes, Field Specialist in Agronomy, MU Extension; 9:10 am, Cotton Fertility with Dr. Justin Calhoun, Cropping Systems Specialist, MU Delta Center; 9:50 am, Break; 10:20 am Cotton Production with Dr. Bradley Wilson, Cotton Specialist, Delta Center; 11:00 am, Cotton Insects with Dr. Chase Floyd, Crop Protection Specialist, MU Delta Center and at 11:40 am, Market Outlook with David Reinbott, Agriculture Business Specialist, MU Extension The program concludes with a sponsored lunch.. After lunch, a Pesticide Applicator Training session is scheduled.
The 2024 MU Rice Meeting is scheduled on February 13, 2024, at The Gathering Center,1430 N. Outer Road. Dexter, MO. Registration at 8:00 a.m. Program: 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. CEU’s will be applied for.
At 8:00 am there will be Registration, Refreshments, and Welcome; at 8:30 am Rice Council Rep , Molly Buckler, is with the US Rice Producers Association, at 9:00 am the Rice Market Outlook will be presented by David Reinbott, Agricultural Business Specialist MU Extension ; at 9:30 am, Rice Herbicide Application Management with Dr. Justin Calhoun, Cropping System Specialist, MU Delta Center, at 10:00 am will be a break; at 10:30 am, Rice Insects with Dr. Chase Floyd, Crop Protection Specialist, MU Delta Center; at 11:00 am Rice Verification Program for Missouri with Robyn Mulloy, Field Specialist in Agronomy,; MU Extension; at 11:15 am, 2024 Cultivar Selection and Exploring Seeding Rate Changes in Row Rice with Dr. Justin Chlapecka, Rice Specialist, MU Delta Center. The program will conclude with a sponsored lunch at noon.
