Friday morning fire destroys truck and trailer

A fire on Highway NN Friday morning left a 2011 Dodge Ram 3500 and a trailer full of furniture in ruins. Chuck Willett and Robert Williams, both of Kennett, were heading north on the highway toward Kennett. "I looked back and saw the trailer on fire. I pulled over and tried to unhook the trailer, and I couldn't so I tried to throw out the furniture. I finally called 911," said Willett. "I have never been so scared in my life," Williams added. It took KFD about 45 minutes to extinguish the fire and it was considered a total loss. It is unclear how the fire started.
