The body found in Combs Lake, east of Kennett on Wednesday has been identified as Antonio Owens, a black male age 49, whose residence is listed as Memphis, Tenn. According to Dunklin County Sheriff Bob Holder, the investigation into his death has indicated that he is listed as a missing person from the State of Tennessee.

An autopsy has been scheduled for Friday morning at the Mineral Area Hospital in Farmington. The cause of death has not been determined.

Holder said they received a call during the noon hour from Pemiscot County Dispatch that a person may have seen a body floating in the lake west of Kennett.

Holder said law enforcement responded to the lake and saw the body. The Kennett Fire Department was called to remove it from the lake.

The investigation into the death is being conducted by the Dunklin County Sheriffs' Office and the Division of Drug and Crime Control of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
