Jerris Gibbins

Jerris Oreta Gibbins, daughter of the late Jessie Buin Grissom and Laura Evlena (Boulton) Grissom, was born January 10, 1935 in Kennett, Missouri, and departed this life on July 18, 2024, at the age of 89 years, 6 months and 8 days. Jerris married J.B. Gibbins, J.B. preceded her in death on January 15, 2005.

Her survivors include son, Richard Harris of Kennett; sister, Linda Jean Shaver of Kennett;

many nieces, nephews and friends.

Jerris was preceded in death by her brother, Jessie Gerald Grissom, and sister, Venita Ruth Heath.

Jerris was an RN and taught nursing classes. Jerris was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Kennett.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2024 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.  Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the McDaniel Chapel in with Rev. Doug Clinton and Rev. Johnny Bogle officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Kennett.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Noble Shaver, Jessie Hopper, Jeffery Haywood, Joshua Haywood, Elizabeth Haywood  and Lance Davis.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
