Senath Skeletons for St. Jude organizer, Yenifer Sanchez, will spearhead another holiday event this Saturday when she takes on the Senath Christmas parade.

“The town was not going to have a parade this year,” informed Sanchez. “A group of friends came to me and asked me to organize it.”

Sanchez agreed and the parade will kick off at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, December 14.

“We have different organizations participating and a variety of floats,” said Sanchez.

Sanchez continued, “It's been work, but very rewarding what the community has done, as far as donations, volunteers, and sponsorships.”

“We've raised a lot of money and we're putting it all back into the community,” she added.

Entries for the parade are being accepted until December 12.

To participate contact 573-559-6009, or visit their website via Facebook. There is a form to fill out.

Following the parade are activities at the Senath Community Center.

“We'll have a Santa Meet and Greet, and carolers, and treats for the kids,” Sanchez provided. “You can also have your picture taken with Santa at no charge.”
