David Tippen was recognized as a three sport athlete from the early 1970's. He was a star kicker for the Indian football team, school-record holder in the pole vault for track and field and a highly recruited baseball player, scouted by the Reds and Kansas City Royals.

Jim Vaughan has been Kennett's athletic director for 18 years before announcing his retirement this past Spring. Also serving as the head coach for both girls anad boys basketball, Vaughan has helped cultivate the culture which is Kennett Indian sports during his time with the school.
