Dr. Mike Milam, with the University of Missouri Extension Office of Dunklin County, will present information on Spring Gardening on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 4 pm in the balcony area of the Dunklin County Library in Kennett.
A great garden requires a lot of preparation and maintenance to develop. Dr. Milam will address the topics soil and bed preparation, planting seed inside and transplanting, vegetables and flowers for this region, fertilizer, and more. By taking good care of your plants by mulching, fertilizing, pruning, controlling pests, and monitoring for diseases, a beautiful and bountiful garden will be in reach of your green thumb.
Dr. Milam will return to the Dunklin County Library on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 4 pm, for Spring Gardening Questions and Answers. At this meeting, Dr. Milam will address the questions from the participants and some common gardening issues.
