Prospective writers take note!
The Bootheel Writers meet at Kennett for the second time on Thursday.
For those unable to attend the inaugural gathering because of harsh weather conditions or illness, bring a notepad, writing utensils, questions, and enthusiasm, and prepare to learn from published authors John and Carol Fisher.
Last week, the group decided to name the outfit The Bootheel Writers, introduced themselves, explained the nature of their projects and passions, offered their expectations, and agreed to bi-weekly meetings.
Members were to bring a brief example of their work for peer review at Thursday's meeting.
The group gathers at 4 p.m. Thursday on the balcony floor of the Dunklin County Library, Main Branch, 209 N. Main St., Kennett.
If you wish to participate, it's never too late to register by calling moderator, library official, and published columnist Julie Orf at 573-888-3561.
