Dunklin County is set for unseasonably warm weather early this week, with temperatures reaching the upper 60s to lower 70s. Expect clear skies initially, but rain chances increase by Thursday or Friday.

The National Weather Service (NWS) at Memphis forecast for Monday, March 10, through Wednesday, March 12, for Kennett and Dunklin County calls for mild days to start our work week.

NWS Meteorologist Jacob Bruss said the area will experience unseasonably warm weather through Wednesday, with a chance of precipitation on Thursday or Friday.

"Your weather at Kennett and vicinity looks clear," Bruss said. "But there's a chance of precipitation later this week.

"Highs will be in the upper 60s to lower 70s by Tuesday," he added. "No rain, though, for the early part of the week. But the chance for rain definitely picks up toward the week's end."

Last year's weather week nearly mirrors this week's with a low of 34 degrees, and a high of 64 on Monday, March 11, 2024; 39 for a low to a high of 68 on Tuesday, March 11, 2024; 46 degrees to high of 75 on Wednesday, March 12; and 63 degrees to a high of 77 with rain in the evening on Thursday, March 13, 2024, according to timeanddate.com.
