Two Hayti residents are jailed without bond in connection to a child neglect investigation, Hayti Police Dept. Chief David Maclin reported.
Dillan O. Hall, 31, and Kalyn Montgomery, 34, of the 800 block of Driftwood Apts., were arrested Friday after a Wednesday report indicated possible child abuse or neglect, the chief said.
HPD and Missouri Department of Family Services personnel conducted an investigation into the allegations, and on Thursday, the children involved were taken into custody by Family Services, the chief said.
The children later were taken to a regional hospital for medical examinations and treatment, Maclin noted.
Hall and Montgomery were arrested for abuse or neglect of a child, the chief said. The suspects were processed and transported to the Pemiscot County Sheriff's Office, Maclin said.
HPD submitted the case to the Pemiscot County Prosecuting Attorney's office, which issued warrants for the arrests of Hall Montgomery, Maclin explained.
Hall and Montgomery were charged with felony abuse or neglect of a child, the chief noted.
Both Hall and Montgomery are incarcerated at the Pemiscot County Justice Center with no bond ordered.
