Young entrepreneurs: How Girl Scouts supported a cat rescue with handmade crafts

Girl Scout Troop 70071, made up of ten 3rd graders from Kennett, completed Project Pawsome with a donation of $700 to Trail of Tails, Inc. Project Pawsome was a semester-long enterprise created by the girls to help assist Kennett's local cat rescue. The girls spent several meetings creating handmade cat crafts and personalized stickers. These items were then sold at a girl-led booth at the Adelphian Bazaar in December. Members of Trail of Tails were on hand during the Troop's January meeting at the Grecian Steakhouse to accept the monetary donation on behalf of the organization. Both groups look forward to continued cooperation and support.
