I don't make resolutions at the beginning of the year.

I never keep them so why make them?

However, there are times when a situation will give you a gentle push.

All my family are sick.

Mom, Dad, and wife all have medical issues this week.

I've been making many trips to the grocery store for food, medicine, household supplies, etc.

A couple of days ago while on one of these excursions, I thought I'd reward myself with a treat.

I stood in front of the Little Debbie desserts trying to choose the perfect snack cake.

A little old lady pulled her cart up beside mine and began to gaze at me thoughtfully.

It turned into more like a stare.

She wouldn't stop looking at me.

I said hello.

She smiled and stated, “You look like you keep a sweet tooth all the time.”

Yes, you guessed it.

Resolution time.

I left the snack aisle and headed to the fruit aisle.

Time to pull out the treadmill again.

I wonder how long I'll last this time?

See you out there.
