*UPDATE* The Kennett City Council meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at Kennett City Hall, has been canceled because of inclement weather. The meeting is on tap for March 4, said Kennett City Clerk Jan McElwrath. *UPDATE*

The Kennett City Council, at its Tuesday meeting, is scheduled to discuss several issues.

After addressing regular housekeeping matters, councilors are expected to weigh in on unfinished business, including votes to approve the Abstract of Accounts distributed in Feb. 4 packets, to approve the Statement of Revenues and Expenditures received in the same packets, and to approve a stop sign ordinance, according to the agenda.

In New Business, councilors consider increasing abatement fines.

Council also introduces the University of Missouri Staff and Extension Council Member.

The Kennett City Council meets at 6:30 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of every month in the council chambers at Kennett City Hall, 200 Cedar St., Kennett.
