Kennett Police Dept. Chief Kenny Wilson reported the department's activities from Feb. 10 - Feb. 16.
They are:
At 12:14 p.m. Feb. 10, officers responded to a disturbance in the 100 block of Holt Street. During the investigation, Jared Nicholas Holt, 35, was taken into custody on a Dunklin County felony warrant for failure to appear and Kennett PD misdemeanor warrants. Holt was transported to the Dunklin County Jail on the warrants.
At 1:51 p.m., KPD responded to the 1500 block of First Street about a report of fraud. Due to the investigation, a Probable Cause Affidavit was filed with the Dunklin County Prosecuting Attorney, charging Alicia Marie Willett, 34, with fraudulent use of a credit/debit device.
At the same time, KPD also responded to the 400 block of First Street because of an assault. Due to that investigation, Jaquan Robinson, 27, of Blytheville, was taken into custody. Robinson was later released on a summons to appear in the Kennett Municipal Court, 04-16-2025, on the charges of Assault and Trespassing.
At 7:41 p.m., KPD officers responded to a domestic violence incident in the 900 block of Floyd Street. During the investigation, Stetson Ray Brandon, 26, was taken into custody and transported to the Dunklin County Justice Center. A Probable Cause Affidavit was filed with the Dunklin County Prosecuting Attorney. The Dunklin County Court issued a warrant charging the subject with Domestic Assault and Unlawful Use of a Firearm.
Feb.11:
At 02:02 a.m., officers were called to the 200 block of Vandeventer Place due to the report of domestic violence. Because of the investigation, a Probable Cause Affidavit was filed with the Dunklin County Prosecuting Attorney, charging Christy Jean Gregory with Domestic Assault 3rd.
Feb.12:
At 04:18 a.m., officers responded to the 500 block of West Harrison due to the report of domestic violence. During the investigation, Latiffany Rochelle Hubbard, 41, was transported to the Dunklin County Justice Center. A Probable Cause Affidavit was filed with the Dunklin County Prosecuting Attorney, and the Dunklin County Court issued a warrant charging Hubbard with Abuse/Neglect of a Child. Hubbard remains in the Dunklin County Jail on a $25,000 cash only bond.
Feb. 13:
Due to an incident of trespassing in the 900 block of Floyd Street, a Probable Cause Affidavit was filed with the Dunklin County Prosecuting Attorney, charging Stetson Ray Brandon, 26, with Trespassing in the First Degree.
Feb. 14:
At 9:22 p.m., officers responded to the 1500 block of First Street in reference to a report of shoplifting. During the investigation, a Probable Cause Affidavit was filed with the Dunklin County Prosecuting Attorney, charging Ronald Jay Esley Coleman, age 34, with Stealing less than $750.
Feb. 15:
At 10:41 p.m., Kennett officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Walnut and Harrison Streets. During the stop, Amber Leigh Vanalstine, age 39 of Poplar Bluff, was taken into custody on a Texas County, Missouri warrant. The subject was transported to the Dunklin County Justice Center with No Bond.
Feb. 16:
At 3:19 p.m., officers responded to the 1500 block of First Street in reference to a report of shoplifting. During the investigation, Samuel O. Canoy, Jr., 59, of Holcomb, was taken into custody and later released on a summons to appear in the Kennett Municipal Court, 05-07-2025, on the charge of Shoplifting.
At 4:51 p.m., KPD responded to the 1500 block of First Street in reference to a report of shoplifting. Due to the investigation, Alize Monae Nichols, 25 of Hayti, was taken into custody and later released on a summons to appear in the Kennett Municipal Court, 05-07-2025, on the charge of Shoplifting.
At 11:41 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 9th Street and Depot Street. During the stop, Alicia Marie Willett, age 34, was taken into custody on a Clarkton Municipal warrant. The subject was transported to the Dunklin County Justice Center on the warrant with a $250 cash bond.
All those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
