Kennett Kiwanis Club kicks off first-ever spring soccer season for youth

Youth soccer in springtime became a reality at Kennett.

The Kennett Kiwanis Club announced its inaugural Kiwanis Spring Soccer Season 2025 for ages Kindergarten through eighth grade.

Kiwanians scheduled games for weekdays rather than weekends, and the season is a short one.

Matches are on tap for Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and occasionally Fridays.

Games begin on Monday, March 31, and end on Friday, May 2.

There are no season-ending tournaments, and ranking is decided by points.

Registration for participants is $25 per player and is slated for 5:30-7 p.m. on March 3, 4, 5, and 7 at the Kennett Middle School Armory during Kiwanis Youth Basketball League games.

Similar to fall leagues, only better!

In addition, Kiwanians remind players of the upcoming Youth Soccer Clinic hosted by KHS coaches Westerfield and Lee, March 3 through March 28 for boys and girls ages 5 - 13.

The four-week camp emphasizes warm-up exercises, skills assessments, tactical drills and team-building activities.

All skill levels are invited and registratiojn is $50 for participants 5-8 years old, $75 for athletes 9-10, and $100 for players 11-13.
