Beverly Alford-Thomas has been helping those in need in Kennett and the surrounding area for decades.
Though her business, Leonard and Virgie's Place, lost their building in 2023, she continues to assist the community through her home and vehicle.
“I still get texts and calls from all over Kennett and the area for help,” Thomas said.
This holiday season she has been especially busy.
“I'm giving out school supplies to schools, food boxes, blankets, shampoo and other items to seniors and veterans, as well,” she stated.
Thomas continued, “On each box I say thanks for allowing me to show kindness to you today. I expect nothing in return from you. You owe me nothing. I am treating you with this box, because God expects believers to relate to all people with kindness.”
Thomas shares these items will be available to the sick and shut-ins with no transportation asnd no family.
Thomas thanked Greenbrier of Kennett for their donations and support.
“They gave 100 boxes,” she said. “I'm blessed. I work out of my car and I deliver and help as many people as I can.”
Thomas concluded, “I can't save the world, but we can save one, and if we do it together, we can save two.”
