George J. Moore of Malden, departed this life on Friday, January 24, 2025 in Dexter, Missouri at the age of 97 years, 6 months, and 19 days.
George was born on Tuesday, July 5, 1927 in Parma, Missouri to the late George Moore and Isa Lena Holmes Moore.
George served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He was a long-time member of the Malden United Pentecostal Church.
On October 25, 1948, George J. Moore was united in marriage to Mary Anna Nadine Long. She preceded him in death on January 10, 2007.
Also preceding him in death were three children, Belinda Joyce Moore, Mary Anna Moore, a son in infancy and eight sisters and two brothers.
His survivors include: son, Kenneth Moore and wife Ruthie of Malden; daughter Donna Paulette Grottke and husband Ron of Faulkton, South Dakota; three grandchildren, Heather Nadine Moore and fiance’ Dwight, Jessica Lobsinger and husband Gabe, and Christa Atkins and husband Mike; three great grandchildren Hayden Joseph Clough, Eli Clough, Lillian Moore; two step grandchildren, David Cowart and wife Sharon, and Tommy Cowart and wife Tabitha; eight step great grandchildren, Jonathan Cowart, Brandon Cowart, Heidi Cowart, and Courtney Garner and husband, Terry, Laila Lobsinger, Levi Lobsinger, Ella-Joy Atkins, and Kyla Atkins.
Visitation will begin at 6 PM Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Malden United Pentecostal Church.
The funeral service will be 11 AM Friday, January 31, 2025 at Malden United Pentecostal Church with Reverend Bobby Moore officiating.
Interment will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
